New pet frog and have no idea what I should do. Help?

OK, heres the deal. I was with my mom while she was grocery shopping and while we were in the seafood isle, I saw live frogs for sale for food. I freaked out and bought the runt cause the guy said if no one was gonna buy that one then he had to kill it. Now I have a frog that looks like a common frog, although im not sure exactly what kind he is. (Hes a dark forest green with dark greyish blothces all over his back and two large circles on either side near his eyes; he is exactly one pound) I have caught him an insect and tried feeding him the frog food I had from my last frog which was alot smaller (fire bellied frog) but he wont eat. He just sits there and doesnt move, but he does breathe. What do you think is wrong with him? Plus his belly is VERY fat, like Very! Is this normal?

OK, now the last question is: What should I do about his cage to make it as close as I can to what it would be like in the wild? For example: what kind of plants, how could should the water be, and how much water to land ratio. I can afford probably most of what I need for him, but I dont have much money, so I will do what I can. Please help guys, I want this runt to have another chance at life. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Oh! And what should I feed him? Just wondering, I know they eat insects, snails, slugs and worms, but I also heard that large frogs should eat baby mice. Is this true, and if so should I?

Thanks so much for your help, everything counts.:)
A very simple cage setup is a 10 or 20 gallon tank. Buy 20 pounds of gravel for a 10 gal and 30/40 for a 20. This may seem like a lot of gravel, but you're going to make a simple cage. Pile most of it up on one side so he can get out of the water. Make this about half of the tank or a little less. Slant the gravel down and fill with spring water (bottled water. it's better than tap with conditioner in it). I bought a little clay flower pot and put it on its side for shelter. I'd take the frog to the pet store in a little tupperware and see if they can tell you.

As for food, buy a lot of small crickets while you're there and give him time to adjust. He's stressed and will get used to it and start eating.

Good for you for saving the frog:)
I don't know much about frogs, but i am going to help you as much as i can ....

but some of those live crickets (you can buy them at the pet store, don't just feed him any bug you caught,

The water should be fine, just room temperature, Just make sure he has about one half the cage size in land, so he has enough space.

As for the plants, I've seen these things at the pet store that look like they'd be perfect for frogs.

But i can't be sure, so ask the pet store owner about it.

Hope i helped ...

Good luck ...
