I have 3 giant African land snails, each are distinctly different sizes right now, but when they get older and grow the same size, how will I tell between them? I know there'll probably be differences in shell patterns, but I'm not gonna count on myself remembering the differences. I'm just wondering if you can paint their shells? Even with non toxic paint or a marker or something, is there anything I can use?

I actually use nail polish! I paint little paterns over them to make them look cool! But dont get it too close to the edge of the shell where the new shell is being formed, and dont use nail varnish remover to take it off as it will poison them!
I have 2 & their names are Fiz & Milo, of course you want to name them, they're like fish, people name their fish dont they!!!
Im with leah ....... it doesnt matter, they arent really a pet you name ....
ive got a 10 gallon fish tank with 2 types of snails in it. if i tried to name them all id run out of names, they had babies recently and some of them are so small they are almost microscopic .... so now, ive got snails in both my 55 gallon tanks as well from these multiplying, id put the grown snails in the bigger tanks, i have fish that will eat them plus i like having them in there to clean the tanks. but i couldnt imagine trying to name them lol.

my dog knows her name, she comes when i call, they understand a heck of a lot more then a snail. thats about like naming rocks, they will listen about as well. if you want to name them name them, it just seems like id want something with a little more personality before i could name it.
why would it matter the diffrence ... i mean its not like if u name them they will respond to there name so it dont really matter and if u notice one is sick then just take that one out and put it in a diffrent place from the others ... i dont mean to be rude i mean i think snails are cool i just dont see how it would matter the diffrence really
