Help with information on guinea pigs when it comes to gettin

basically 2 days ago we had 3 guinea pigs left on our doorstep in a cardboard box first thing in the morning, so cross that someone would do that, but glad that we are now here to look after them properly.

Im assuming that whoever left them may have known my mum, she was a breeder and she knew all there was to know about caring for them. Thing is my mum died 11yrs ago and although i know how to care for them very well as i always helped her.

i never helped her when it came to sexing them and knowing if males can be together or females can be together, thats not what i cared about at that age.

i have managed to sex them from information online and we have what looks like 2males and 1 female adolescents/babies.

now of course we cannot keep them female with them we dont want babies.

but can the males stay together happily or will they fight.

we were trying to find them a home, but no one is interested in homing them together, we want them to be together ..... even if that means separate hutches. we may end up keeping them as we know how to care for them and have grown a soft spot.

at the moment they are getting on very well but i am assuming that is because they are very young.

so if anyone can let me know if boys can mix that would be great.
I have 2 males, not from the same litter, they have been together from the age of @ 6 weeks and for 90% of the time they do get on, only the occasional "squabble" (usually about a carrot lol).
yes u can put the boys together they where born together and raised together so should be fine but just watch as they get older if u notic there not getting along them u can seprate them but for now should be fine unless u notice a diffrence in how they are together .... also it should not be hard to tell girl to boy cuz its almost like a hamster just bigger the boy will well have balls so just feel for that and the girl wont of corse lol ... so just make sure u know the sex for sure .... well good luck
You might want to look into neutering your males. Call up your local shelter and see if there is a low cost clinic that will do guinea pigs in your area. Neutered males (in my experience) get along nicely and can even be put in with your female without problems which would give her company and make her happier.

If they can't be neutered for whatever reason, in my experience, boys who grow up together usualy get along so long as there are no females around. And that means that sometimes the females have to be in a different room.

My experience is limited though as I've never purposely bred guinea pigs and never had a lot of them at one time. I also greatly prefer them neutered so I don't have to worry a whole lot about seperate housing. Spaying females is pretty risky though .. I don't even consider it.

Edit: If you neuter the two males then there shouldn't be any problem having the trio in the same hutch. I find three to be a nice number for guinea pigs so long as you have a big enough enclosure for them.
