Can you PLEASE tell me if they can eat cheese or eat oatmeal?
Do not feed a rabbit dairy products their bodies are not designed to digest it.
You have to think as if your rabbit is in the wild. In the wild would your rabbit just happen to come upon some cheese, no.
You could give them uncooked plain oats which is the main ingredient to oatmeal but I don't really suggest it while they could find oats in the wild oats expand a lot and could really upset their stomach.
If you would like to feed your rabbit things other then rabbit pellets I would suggest fresh alfalfa and/or alfalfa cubes. Fresh fruits and vegetables such as carrots, celery, cabbage, apples, and peaches. Green vegetables tend to make up a good amount of a rabbits diet. You could also harvest some grass and such from your yard but you have to be 100% sure it has no chemicals on it.
In the end I really suggest buying pellets from the store and like some one said you can get a massive bag for about $ 15 and then you can give them the fresh fruits and veggie occasionally for treats.
No don't give them cheese as this will mess with their digestive system. If you did get some papaya dried and give it a piece that will bring its digestive back to normal. Yes oats but not oatmeal it is to fine and will gum up the system. As a breeder I feed Pellets and hay. Once in a while an inch chunk of carrots or a 1/8 slice of apple. Branches such apple, maple, Birch, and willow. They love to have something to chew on. I do use papaya when I notice they aren't 't eating well or they have had too much hay and or grass with plant leaves and dandelion leaves. This is a treat not to be feed everyday. Pellets and hay should be enough. And lots of clean water. As a breeder I do not recommend lots of fruit or veggies. Domesticated rabbits cant handle it like wild ones. Hope this helps, good luck.
Cheese is a no. Rabbits should not have animal products and that includes dairy. This also goes for yoghurt drops.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Oatmeal is ok, but only in very small amounts. You could do a small pinch a couple times a week as a treat.
Fresh, green vegetables are best as a treat and daily food.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ...
They are herbavoires and should never ever be given anything with dairy in it.
The oatmeal probably won't kill it but it may have unintended consequences that you don't know about.
If you want to give him a treat try various veggies and fruits. Just not onions, garlic or potatoes.
I wouldn't recommend cheese, but the oatmeal should be okay. (But only in small amounts!) If you don 't give a rabbit proper food, it could get sick. You can pick up a huge bag of food at your local farm-style store for about $ 15.00
Shouldnt they eat carrots i believe that is health for them
