hey, i love horses and ponies, so my mum said i could get one im 12 (Defoe not spoilt 4 other siblings and this is the first time i have ever asked for something major) i was wondering what type of horse or pony is best for someone who is confident with horses and ponies, walk, trot, canter and know how to clam down a pony if i go crazy while your on it. (i have learnt from experience) i have never had one before but my aunt has two which i ride once a month. i also go riding lessons each week. Help!
From personal experience, I would say a Quarter Horse is an excellent first horse to own. Congratulations on getting a horse!
It's alright buying the horse, but you have to feed it, vaccinations, worming, teeth, vet check-ups. I own 3 horses and In one year we pay on average £ 10000-12000. Plus you need somewhere to house it, luckily we live on a farm which cuts down costs. Really just think about it. Some things which they need can cost up to £ 1000, and that's thrown at you out the blue. A horse is nice, the price is not ....
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com That may not have answered your question, but think of the facts before the pleasures. And please, do me a favour and learn how to use punctuation. I know you're 12, but I could easily use the correct grammar and punctuation at that age.
Pony-I would recommend a Shetland
Horse-I would say a quarter horse. They are known for having good behavior and have great endurance.
Good Luck! (:
I would recommend a quarter horse. Get one from age 10-15. And get a gelding.
