My Bunny is still drinking its mothers milk!?!?

My 10 week old bunny is still feeding off its mum. The mum doesn't like it and gets frustrated when he does it. What can I do to help stop it?
Baby rabbits should be weaned at 6-7 weeks of age. This means they don't live with mom anymore and eat on their own independently. Separate him from his mother. A buck kit shouldn't be with his mother too long, anyway, as he may get her pregnant.
Your bunny is old enough to be weaned. They usually start the weaning process as soon as they are able to get out of a nest box. Generally they start eating pellets at 4 weeks old. It is not uncommon if still with the doe to keep trying to nurse from her even though they are drinking from a dish or water bottle and eating pellets. The best thing to do is to separate the kit from the doe. The kit is old enough to live without nursing. We have several articles on this topic on our website.
Try weaning him slowly. A small drinking bottle with a teat on may work to get him used to the drinking bottle with the metal spout eventually. Give the mother a lot of attention too to make her feel fussed over (I'm sure she is very well loved!):) Hope this helps.
Separate them and your bunny will drink from the bottle, he will drink alot as younger bunnys find it comforting.
Slowly ween him off by giving him pellets and milk, then day by day, feed him pellets and fresh spinach and veggies. Hope this helps ((:
try keeping them sperate so the bunny can only drink water and once he gets use to drinking water put them back together because if hes with his mum he wont learn to drink from the water bottle.
