I live on a farm with my parents. I have a dog named Alex, He's fixed and i wanted to know if it will be alright if i had him near my horse. Im sick of him being in my room its really annoying

Absolutely. As long as your rottie is not aggressive towards the horse. Make sure he knows that the horse is dangerous. Introduce him slowly at first and give him treats while he is interacting with the horse so that he relates the horse with positive rewards. Discipline him appropriately.

Yes rottweilers are protective but if there is no human threat (like a horse) they are very laidback.
