I really love horses, and I have wanted to take lessons since second grade, but my dad says that they are too expensive. I'm not even taking dance class next year (and dance is way more expensive), but he still says no . I don't know how I can deal with not being able to do what I love! I know I am fairly busy, because I am part of the local theater company, and I play softball, but if I don't do dance next year, then I would have more time to horse back ride. What should I do?
Save! When I was ten, my parents told me that I could take horse-back riding lessons if I paid for them myself. The barn I rode at cost twenty-five dollars a lesson, and I paid for every one.
If you can get your dad to pay for half the cost of the lessons, that would be even better.
Lessons are typically forty-five minutes to an hour long, and generally cost from twenty-five to forty-five dollars per lesson.
Good luck!
I actually took both dance (tap and ballet) AND riding lessons is a child. Dance is not necessarily more expensive than riding.
