is celery bad for my yellow footed tortoise. what should i n

i have a yellow footed tortoise. ive been trying to expand his diet. (mainly lettuce everyday.) it seems to be all he eats. ive tried different leafy greens. dandyloin, roamine, he doesn't like verity. he like lettuce, oranges, celery, and carrots. thank u
Try cutting things into smaller pieces and mixing it all together so he isn't able to be picky. Use sweet potatoes, broccoli, oranges, corn, escarole, green beans, any kind of berry and melon and fruit, use defrosted frozen mixed vegetables, peas, endive, alfalfa, roses, day lilies, tiger lilies, bean sprouts, cooked pasta, etc, etc ........
Oranges and carrots are not great options, but OK once in a while. Celery is OK overall but not the best.

A simple plan would be to offer about 70% greens, 20% fruit, and about 10% meats.

Great greens would include most lettuces, arugula/rocket, turnip and collard greens, leaves from dandelion/mulberry/hibiscus, 'Spring Mix' (look for the kinds with plenty of variety of color and texture). Pretty much any other greens are OK in smaller quantities or less often.

Great fruits would be papaya, fig, pineapple, most melons, strawberry, plums, squash, pumpkin, bell pepper. OK would be almost everything else, but avoid too much citrus and all hot peppers.

Good meats would be worms and bugs, baby mice and rats, chicken, organ meat, eggs, oily fish, or even small amounts of low-cal/low-fat dog or cat food.

Avoid most root vegetables, all raw grains and nuts, dairy, fatty or spicy meat.

Another good option would be Mazuri Tortoise Diet.
