Rabbit wont go in built in nesting box?

My rabbit has only been outside for 1-2weeks. It has gotten pretty cold and it wont go in its built in nesting box .. it only goes in to get some hay and then goes back out. Its about 20 degrees and it is just sitting on the wire, so im worried he will get too cold and die. We stuffed it with tons of hay and made it into kind of a nest but he still only goes in to get hay .. How can i get him to sleep in it? He seems afraid of staying in there .. PS he is a 7month old holland lop
You say sitting on the wire? I assume you mean the hutch has a wire bottom. You should have this as it can damage the rabbits feet. Get some wood to place on the bottom instead. This will also provide more insulation.

Rabbits will be fine outside in the winter, just fill up the hutch with lots of straw and cover it over at night with a blanket or plastic sheet to keep out the wind:)
He's probably fine. 20 degrees is not much of a problem for rabbits and when he gets cold he'll know where to go, instinct will kick in.:) You could try putting a small blanket or somethin where he sits on the wire and move it to the box after a day or so then it will have his smell and maybe he will feel more comfortable.
i think it will be okay, they are made for winter ...
