In chinchillas, is it better to get a female pair or male pa

I am getting a pair of chins, littermates, of about 2 months of age. Im wondering what would be better, a female pair, or male pair. Keeping in mind that I may want to add more additions later on, and have no interest in breeding. I would likely be adding more later on of the same sex I choose. Some pros and cons would help me out:) Thanks for input!
females.
It is all a matter of opinion. I have groups of females and groups of males with no problems. Sometimes there will be a pair that decide to no longer get along so when you have more than 1 no matter whet the sex their is a chance they will need to be split up. try going to http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com to learn more about caring for chinchillas
its all opinion. when i got my first chin, she was a female. she was the best. at 6 months old she would come back to her cage when we would ring her bell. sadly, my little rayna dies way too early. then i got a male chin, then another, and another etc. me and my ex had 5 male chins. we felt the same way as you, we didnt want to breed. the males have been great. so its all really opinion . i know for one thing though, the females do get a lot bigger than the males. but everyone i talk to is different, some like males, some like females. in reality, you are going to love which ever one you get. congrats on getting a chin. they make wonderful pets. not 5 minuites ago my little jasper was sitting on my shoulder nibbling on my ear. good luck with whatever you choose. with chins, you cant go wrong. oh yea, i have noticed that with my males, its hard to introduce another male to them without them getting territorial. i dont know if its the same for females, but i am guessing it is.
