Humane way to kill a mouse?

My snake refuses to eat this one particular mouse and so I cornered it and put it in a coffee can, one with holes punched in the lid. I feel so bad for the thing. I refuse to freeze it, and I don't want it to suffocate slowly.

Should I just like put it in a bag and slam it against my wall ...? Seems like the most painless way to go, I just wished the fckin snake ate the thing so I didn't have to do it myself.

Any suggestions?
The most humane thing would be to give it a small habit and try to give it to your snake tomorrow. Maybe your snake isn't hungry or is feeling I'll and doesn't want to eat now.

There is no reason to kill it. Just take an old rubbernaid tote and put it in there with some veggies and water ... No need for a lid, its not like the mouse could jump out.

I've know many people that keep mice to fatten them up before feeding or breed them so their snake always has food.
Is it a wild mouse or one found in the pet shop for feeder mice. If it's wild just take it to a wildlife haven near you. White-footed mice are protected. If it's a domestic mouse you can pick up ... pick it up by the tail & smack it down on a cement floor to kill it. I wouldn't feed a wild mouse to a pet snake 'cause you never know what kinds of parasites it has that can be passed on to your snake.

You can quickly snap its neck or use a snap trap. Here is how to snap its neck

Grasp the animal in two hands, one encircling the head, one encircling the shoulders. Placing the thumbs knuckle to knuckle - rather like you'd grasp a pencil in order to break it in two. The thumb should be at the BACK of the base of the skull - where the skull meets the "atlas" vertebrae. Using a very quick sharp movement while pinching inward around the cervical spine, jerk both hands in opposite directions.
well, wait for a day or two and keep the mouse in a plastic container and try and feed it to the snake. if he doesn't seem interested in killing it himself then do kill it; get a mouse trap. If you don't want to see its head apart from its body then poison it. hope this helps. good luck
Keep it for a pet. Take it to the pet store. Give it to a child for a pet.
Let a cat take the place of that snake for a few seconds and your problem will be solved.
Just put it in with the snake he should kill it sooner or later.
just wait itll eat if not just keep it untill he does.or just let it run away into the street .
Let it go outside its a whole lot simpler than killing it.
