i dont want a snake rat or mice so anything like hamsters, reptiles and amphibians
No hamsters. A tank doesn't have enough ventilation for any mammals and it would die from lack of oxygen. You could keep very small turtles, reptiles , or frogs. You could also start a nice little fish tank full of pretty, colorful fish. I have a 10 gallon fish tank and owning fish is actually a lot more interesting than you would think it is.
If you want something that you can play with, I would go with rats. I have three medium-sized female rats. the only problem with them is that they get tumors sometimes, so if you can get them from a rat breeder (they're everywhere, surprisingly enough), you'll have better luck health-wise. I have a 20-gallon tank, but then I also have a 2-story wire cage part that goes on top of it so that they have more room to climb around and stuff . they're really smart and energetic, though, and they need a lot of attention. I really like them, because they've all got distinct personalities, and they're not small and fragile like mice. My rats are the ballsiest animals I know, and often chase my cats.
you can keep a small bird in a tank if you have a top for it that opens or a small breed of rabbit!
fish, hamster, lizard, almost anything thats able to not get out of it.
