i was just wondering if rabbits stink?

hey guys i was just wondering if rabbits stink cause i don't think they do and i am also really interested in them to
Rabbits themselves rarely smell, they are very clean animals. The only time they might smell is when they get hormonal ...

Thier cages might do due to thier urine if you don't clean them out enough. But I find that most other animals smell a lot worse.
Rabbits' urine can have a very strong odor but with good bedding, like aspen shavings (good odor control, absorbency, cheap and safe if the rabbit eats them), that's changed frequently, there's little smell. I have 30 rabbits indoors and they don't stink.

I have lots of rabbit info and pics on my website.
Most furry pets can smell rather distinctive at times.

And different people smell the odors differently. I can * barely * smell the litter boxes of our rabbits when they have pee'd there, but my wife can hardly stand to walk in the room. Yet, I nearly gag and lose my lunch on the rare occasion when our dog has had an''accident''in his dog-crate, and my wife thinks I am making it up - as she cannot smell anything from it. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

All that said, rabbits tend to have very little or no smell, apart from their urine and feces, and with proper care, that is nearly unnoticeable. If they 'mark' territory, there can be an unpleasant smell, but there are some very good products that can help with that problem

My wife and I have tried quite a few different types of 'litter' - and we currently use pelletized pine shavings - which is sold as horse bedding at a local farm supply store. It has good absorbancy, doesn't have artificial colorings and chemicals and has a light, pleasant smell. A 40 lb sack costs about the same as a 5 lb bag of the premium bedding sold at some of the pet shops - and we think it works better.
No, rabbits do not stink, if their cages are cleaned regularly.

Now if a rabbit gets diarrhea then it will smell! But that is because it is sick.

Rabbits, normally, are very clean animals.

Hope this helps!
If you regularly dispose of their bedding, they will not stink. If you let it build up, the smell gets quite bad. The urine has a strong ammonia smell, and the poo smells vaguely of alfalfa. Their actual skin or fur, however, does not smell.
NO they are very clean if you keep them out side they do no smell and you do not have to clean the cage but if you keep the rabbit in side you have to clean the cage once a week. I found that other animal smell and not rabbits.
O yeah i think they do, you need to clean out the cage all the time. Stick with a fish or even a hamster thats what we have and i never smell him and i only need to change the dang cage only one a week if that
If you keep the cage clean and the rabbit is able to clean itself, then there should be no odor.
Rabbits clean themselves like cats; they themselves naturally do not stink. If you do not change their litter and let them live in filth, then the obvious happens.
horrible
bunny are cool:)
