We are getting two kids at Christmas time and I am having trouble finding information about them, how big of an enclosure do you need?
Goats can be a pain to fence in. Minis are especially good escape artists. Try fencing in with woven wire or hog panels, with a couple strands of hotwire to keep the goats off the fence and discourage predators. Make sure one of the strands is at the goat's nose level. Size really depends. Are you planning on letting them graze for most of their diet or primarily going to supplement with feed and hay? If you're planning on letting them browse then a 1/2 acre of brushy area would be best though goats will eat grass in a pinch they prefer shrubs and weeds. If you ' ll be providing most of their feed then a 20 'x 20' is the absolute smallest you could go. Remember, bigger is better especially if you might consider adding more goats in the future.
Don; t forget to have a good shelter for them. Goats will get sick and die if they don't have somewhere to get out of the wind and rain.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Wanted to add if they are miniature goats-they are not always Pygmy goats. They could also be Nigerian Dwarf Goats.
Here are some links I found for you. They are called "pygmy" goats. These links should help, and if you need more info or a bigger variety of opinions to choose from, just google enclosure for pygmy goats.
