How to convince my mom to get me a rabbit for Christmas?

I've wanted one since 5th grade. I'm 13. I've been heavily researching since May and know TONS about rabbits. I know what they eat, what vet it would go to, what kind of cage to use (a HUGE cage with lots of playtime), history of rabbits, how to hold a rabbit, where I can get a rabbit from a shelter, etc. I even cleaned my entire room out so I have space for a huge cage. I think my mom wants one for me except she's a bit worried since we have territorial cats. However, I would let the rabbit play outdoors, in my room, and in my basement SUPERVISED. She said I could get one but not right now, so I'm thinking I want one for Christmas. What can I do to make her more comfortable with the idea of getting me a rabbit?

PS: I want to ask her to take me to our local rabbit shelter, but how do I bring it up?

PPS: I'm still researching any rabbit questions I have and am reading all these great websites.I am also planning on living at home for college & i can pay for it cause ive been saving up.shed pay almost nothing
God i've wanted a Hedgehog since Junior Kindergarten, i'm 17 now and still don't have one>_>. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Still doesn't mean i haven't tried my fair share of tricks to get one: P. One of the best tips is to try and get other family members involved like a brother or sister or a grandma. Don't expect them to buy it for you though, the reason you get them involved is to provide further support for yourself. while your busy trying to convince your parents to let you have a rabbit your other family members could very much be doing the same. The extra support really helps, trust me.
bring home a rabbit on christmas, and say that that is her present and guilt trip her to keeping it.

If all else fails, kill her.
Rabbits are better off in the wild.

Cages are cruel and unusual.

How would you like to live out your life in a cage?
Just hold your breath until you get one. That will teach them!!!!
