A ferret should get a MINIMUM of 4 hours of play time/interaction with their owner everyday.
Mine get two hours in the morning before work and 2 hours at night. They are in the cage/playpen the other 20 hours. (I do not consider time in the play pen to be out-of-cage time.)
what ever you can give it. i keep mine in a converted shed filled with tubes and carpet etc so don't handel them that much.
