Can my rats kill me if i play with it?
my mother thinks i will die if i continue keeping my two rats,
can someone help me. Will i get bugs from the rats?

You can get rabies from your rats! Be careful.
But if they are treated correctly and always cleaned then it's safe.

Absolutely not. As long as your rats are not acting aggressively or showing signs of rabies they are FINE. If she's using the plague excuse tell her those were fleas carried across seas on the backs of rats. Your every day pet rats you buy at the pet store have usually been treated and captive bred for so long that they have never been exposed to any human contagious diseases.
