i really want a chinchilla and i have been doing alot of Research on them so i tell my dad the cool and positive things but it isn't working. PLEASE HELP

it's probably because your dad knows they have a mean bite, they are creatures that like to be with others that look like themself, and they like to be left alone (peace and quiet and be on a piece of land away from noise of any kind). Usually people own them because they grow them for their pelts (for coats) so they want the chinchillas to reproduce. They aren't the kind of animal you can have as a pet.

If the previous answer is accurate, then maybe you could look for a pet that is like a chinchilla that is more appropriate. Show your dad you are responsible by your actions...start doing the chores around the house without being asked. Actions go a long way to prove you can handle taking care of a new pet.
