I have a 3 year old doe holland loop. Can she breed at this age?
answer: i think she might be to old to be honest. a doe is ready to breed from about 6 months and most breeders give away any of their does that reach 2 years old. she might be able to concieve but may only produce 1 baby. the older they get the smaller the litter becomes. also breeding her at this age might cause her to get health problems or problems giving birth. i would probably say no to be on the safe side.
has she had any litters before? you are supposed to breed rabbits for the first time before they reach the age of 1 year so that their body can develop to carry the kits. they say if you have a rabbit who has never had a litter before a year old that their body is not able to carry the kits. think its something to do with the pelvic bone not being the correct size to give birth.

breed mini lops,
If she has not been bred from before, then i would advise against breeding her at this age. I dont breed any of mine once they get to much past 2 yrs old and only if they have been bred from before. The best age to breed is from at least 6months-2yrs. Hope this helps

Holland Lop 143. Hotot 90. Jersey Wooly 27. Lilac 3 ... a doe can be bred at the age of normally 6 months but i prefer to wait unti she is at least ... also a female has to be at least 1-2 years old to breed so does a male
She's ready to breed :)
