My ferret started out eating regular good ferret diet food then when i realized that i got my ferret in south carolina and i live in north carolina i new that i couldnt go up there every time i get ferret food ( my ferret is vey very picky) so i started her on cat food and i realized its bad for her so how can i get her off of the cat food..................please NO harsh or mean answers i already feel bad for starting her on it!!!!!!!!!!!! Help please

It's ok. This is what a lot of people have done in the past. Mazuri Ferret food is one of the best quality foods for them. If you have a Petco or Petsmart they sell it. Or you can buy it online through either store, even through Mazuri themselves. They might sell it in a larger bulk though. You probably want to feed both foods for awhile. mix 3part cat food with 1 part ferret food. and slowly up it til you feed only ferret food. If your ferret starts picking only the cat food out don't worry he will eat the ferret food. This is to keep him from getting diarrhea. She'll be fine. It might be a tuff switch because they are very finicky, but she will get use to it. Give her a little extra ferretone as a reward to help her transition. If you are having a hard time finding a place to buy it, I would buy in bulk and get a storage container for it. I hope this helps.
