Okay, so I lease a horse at a local barn. I've only been riding there for a few months, but I already love him lots. There is another girl who has been riding at this barn for years. She used to lease my horse, so everyone refers to him as her horse. She still rides him sometimes, and he really loves her. Her trunk even sits in front of his stall. The girl and I get along fine. In fact, I really look up to her, and she helps me a lot regarding what makes my horse tick, what he really likes, stuff like that. It's just hard knowing that they had such a special bond for such a long time, I feel like there is no room for me. Everyone at the barn still calls him her horse, and I realize that I'm just overreacting, but I just need some ways to deal with this horse jealousy. How can I improve my bond with my horse without stepping on any toes?
