What does a dead mouse smell like?

Dead mice tend not to smell really bad, as they dry out before they become rotten. If you've ever smelled really rancid meat that's been left out, that's what it would smell like for a very short period until it dries up. Afterwards, it's like a nasty little piece of leather, but the smell will largely be gone.
Petcetera is correct. Allot more than one (or even a few) dead mice would have to be collecting in one place and be in different stages of decomposition to be noticeably smelly to the average human nose.=:]
