Should I get Guinea Pigs?

I have a few pets already, 3 cats and a Dog. Although we already have these pets, I am interested in adding Guinea Pigs, a same-sex pair preferably. I will not be getting them until January, because I want to see if I really want them by caring for all my other pets for a long time.

I have done my research and I just need some suggestions. Thank you!
I have 2 rabbits a dog a bird and fish and i got a guinea pig and it was SO happy that i did! Then i got another guinea pig and again i am SO happy that i did and taking care of 2 isint much harder than just 1. i love both my guinea pigs even though i have alot of other animals. guinea pigs make me so happy and i have never been this happy before. just seeing their faces brighten up my day!:) so make sure that you are commited to taking care of them for at least 7 years. if you cant give them all the care they need then dont get one! only get one if you know that you can take good care of them! and if you do get guinea pigs you should adopt them go to www.petfinder.com to look for adoptable guinea pigs near you!
If you get guinea pigs, you MUST get a same -sex PAIR. Guinea pigs are social animals and the rate of pregnancy complications are high, unless you are planning on getting the male neutered. However, if you have cats and dogs this may be dangerous to the guinea pigs. Guinea pigs need at least 7.5 square feet of space for one pig, and 10.5 for two pigs, more is better. You will also need to build a top on the C & C cage to keep the other pets out. If your guinea pig accidentally escapes what will you do ? Just keep in mind before you get one, because you don't want the malnourished pig killed at a shelter because of your own lifestyle complications right?
I had a dog and 2 cats and decided to get 2 guinea pigs and i realized it was a mistake so I'm going to advise you not to because I was dissapointed in my decision but if you feel its the rigth thing to do then do it
