I just got my 1st horse. I am putting up electric fencing. Is the Polytape a good product to use? Or should I go with 14g wire?
Go with the tape:) its way easier to put up and the horses can see it better ... You will still want to flag it before you turn your horse out ..
I have both wire and the rope type fencing ... The wire stretches and is a pain in the but to work with ...
If you go with the tape make sure your fencer is rated high enough for it ..
Horses tend to respect electric fencing very quickly, wire they can damage/push past etc;
If however a power outage occurs etc; there is no fence, so you may want to invest in a wooden fence.

Solid wire is a PIA to work with as has been said but maybe worth the hassle if significantly cheaper. Don't forget PolyRope use whichever is cheaper?
Do the math (s) and see which fits the budget.
