I have a bunny and his water bottle is leaking a lot. His bedding on the bottom gets wet and I cant let him sit in a very wet bedding. I also can't get a new water bottle just yet. So for it I was thinking of taking the bottle away at night so it doesn't get too wet. Is that ok? Will he get too thirsty at night? Please give me some suggestions. Thanks.
My hamster had a similar problem. The water supply leaked as well so i gave him a bowl of water to drink from instead, which worked fine while I worked to get a new water supply. DO NOT TAKE AWAY THE WATER, THAT IS CRUEL.
Rabbits should ALWAYS have water, it's not fair to take it away from them.
In your situation, I would recommend just filling up a small bowl full of water and leaving it in his cage at night. There must be some sort of small bowl you can use that your bunny wont chew on, and that you wont mind using for him!
It depends how dry the food u give your bunny is and it really depends on the bunny. Don't take the bottle away at night because your bunny might get thirsty and he'll get water deprived. Get a better water bottle
