my boyfriend had told me about a "spider" bite that he got on his left butt cheek ... yea gross right. well that was about 3days ago. he has been complaining that it hurts. he feels pain if he sits or even lays down. is that normal? no right. well we also told me that the bit got hard so he tried popping it in the shower and puss and blood came out!!! his mom saw it and said it looks like a hole? he thought it might be a Brown Recluse ... we are hoping its not .. do any of you have any other idea of what it could be?? Thank you!
It sounds like the Brown Recluse (AKA Common Brown House Spider ) The bite site will redden, then enlarge, the get real hard, If pressed it will exude pus and blood. It takes a long time to heal and will leave a scar (no escaping that). A black widow will do something similar but you will see red line Extending from the wound. If you see those, get to the doctor, on they can treat it properly. The red line are the poison spreading in the body. Here in the South, we have a lot of both. My Mother had been bitten once by a Black Widow and twice by Recluses. The Widow bite had to be Dr. treated, but the Recluses just took time, bandages, antibacterial cream and time. Good Luck.
This deffently sounds like a Brown Recluse Spider ... the bad thing about these bites is that the venom they inject actually atrophies (eats away) the tissue. Sometimes it causes a boil or puss pocket then later needing to be lanced. I would advise him to see a physician for some antibiotics. These normally take a very long time to go away. Good Luck!
Brown recluses bites can lead to a very nasty wound almost like a bed sore or bed ulcer. He needs to go to the er as soon as he can.
I think it is a brown recluse because my nana got bit on the leg an it done the same hope u like my advice!
