If you dont know their history?
You can't. You can guess if they conform closely to a breed standard, but that's about it. I've seen quite a few rabbits that were known to be mixes that look like purebred rabbits, but that doesn't make it so.
The rabbit I adopted from the shelter last year is a French Lop mixed with who knows what (mother was a French Lop, they don't know which of their many bucks impregnated her). She looks almost exactly like a Mini Lop, but she definitely is not.
Go to (American Rabbit Breeders Association) www.ARBA.net maybe they can help you. They have pics of purebred rabbits that they recognize. I hope that I helped!
you cant the only way to tell is if you have papers saying it is if you don't then you cant be Shure.
