I want a horse but i am only 16 and my mom doesn't want one. So i will have to wait until I am an adult. So how can i get involved now.
Some farms or stables in your area will probably have a volunteer program for people who want to start being involved with horses. The work is pretty lousy, but at the end of it you get to have some time with the animals. If you check some horse forums, or local community boards, you might find that people who own horses will be willing to accomodate you with volunteering and spending time with their horses.
If that all fails, check with pet shops or horse suppliers in your area to see if they need any volunteers, or know of any other way you might be able to get involved. That'll get you off to a good start, and before long you'll be well on your way to getting a horse yourself. Regards,
