i bought a hamster from a pet shop where she was kept with other hamsters. she is drinking alot and making nests i am not sure what to do
This is basic hamster behaviour, they often move their bedding around the cage, atm i have a male with 2 seperate piles of bedding and he sleeps in both, i once had a hamster that everytime i cleaned her and gave her new bedding, she put all the bedding in her poiches and ran all over the cage through the tubes etc with the bedding in her mouth and eventually put it in a different place evry time.
But, if she is pregnant, just give her plenty of food and water, make sure neither run short, plenty of bedding and wait, she should get fatter and i am pretty sure they are only pregnant for about 19 days, give or take.
Unless she is an older hamster it would be very unlikely for her to be pregnant as females are not sexually mature at the age pet shops have them from. I got a hamster (blackberry) when she was 16 weeks old, she had been living on her own a while, but before she was in with all the males as they thought she was a boy, and she didn't get pregnant, she just had little fights with the boys.

anyway, good luck, if she does turn out to be pregnant be sure not to touch them until they are moving around with eyes open and hair, but also be sure to do plenty of research to find their specific needs.
That's. ... what they do.
They do that. It's pretty much all they do.
Are you sure you're ready for the responsibility of a living creature? 0.o
is she looking fatter, that's usually a good hint at pregnancy, drinking water is normal cause she'd dehydrate like anything else if she didn ' t, making nests is normal cause all small mammals need somewhere warm to sleep.
Dont hesitate .. just do it -.-
