ive had both my mice for 4 months now and one of them just started biting me? whats its issue?
What's probably happened is that your mouse is now full grown, and has become a bit more confident. Even when I catch young feral mice, they rarely bite me, but the adults are crazy and willing to bite. You were able to handle a younger mouse easily, but it's since decided that it no longer wants to interact.
I've found that some mice end up being great pets for their entire lives, but others change and become anti-social. It's also possible that something has startled your mouse, if it got squeezed or pinched it might have a strong counter response to anything frightening now. I think if you spend some time socializing it and gently offering your hand to it with treats, you might find that it's willing to play with you once more, without being bitey! Hope that works for you, it's worked for me ! Cheers,
Honey, mice can not be pets that you can cuddle and hold. To them you are very scary! They want to bite and get away! If you want to cuddle with a pet, get cat or a dog! :) That's what peoples have bred them for - to be companions. Not mice!:)
Mice see you as an animal like 80 x there size it will scare them and they are also nocturnal if holding them during the day don 't you can hold them as soon as it gets dark.
