Parrots are widely regarded as the smartest, often times people who vouch for them will suggest they're smarter than both cats and dogs. In fact, parrots who have been taught multiple languages can make sentences with words from each language, proving that they have real comprehension of language, and the ability to communicate. It's incredible when you think about that ability.
Other animals with remarkable intelligence that you can have as pets include pigs, octopi, and most monkeys (if you could keep them as pets where you are). I've also found that my chinchilla was very smart and capable of doing a lot of things that surprised me. He showed problem solving skills for escaping from a ball, plus he would sort his food in preference of what he wanted to eat. Amazing stuff all around. That being said, I would still put my bet on parrots, either African Grey, Amazons, Cockatoos, or Macaws. Regards,
I've heard pigs are rather intelligent.
Chimps are not a readily available pet, so you are wrong.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Parakeets are only repeating what they hear, so they are none the wiser about what they are saying, so you're wrong.
Pigs are extremely smart-some say as much as as four year old but are not usually pets per se . Parrots are very intelligent and need a lot of stimulation.
It is said that crows are the smartest animals right after humans, followed by apes and parrots!
