Ok, so i had these 2 4-month-old brown and white guinea pigs, Buster and Pudding ..... i loved them so much, they were the loves of my life.
But 1 (Buster) died, then shortly after, Pudding died of the same symptoms. In case your wondering what the symptoms are, here they are
1 - They became paralyzed and could not eat/drink.
2-Becoming paralyzed, they couldnt move around to go to the toilet, so they would wet themselves and would begin to smell horrible
3 - they could no longer hold themselves up.
Seeing them with all of this seriously broke my heart as i always do when i see my animals in pain (i also had 2 cockatiels, a cat and 2 dogs at the time)
PLEASE tell me if you know what has happened to my babies!

Hey, i know its already been answered but i thought i would give my opinion.
guinea pigs scare easy, i had a friend once with a whole bunch of guinea pigs and a very hyper Labrador. she wouldn't usually let the dog near the guinea pigs but the one time she did one had a heart attack and died instantly, and the other got these symptoms. saying that, it may have been coincidence and this does sound like a virus
Why didn't you take them to the vet as soon as they became sick? A vet could also have done a post mortem and found out what caused it after they died.

As it happened to both it was probably either poisoning or a virus.
How long where they like this for .... a trip to the vet was needed i think ... but then again these things can happen so quickly, sorry for your loss.
i had this happen once and it turned out they had eaten a green piece of raw potato that poisoned them
