i know they are odorless animals and i would clean the cage out every day and make sure he had the correct attention and care, but they won't let me keep one in the house, and i don't know how i can persuade them ?? Help!!
Chinchillas are extremely delicate animals who MUST be kept inside unless you happen to live in the Andes Mountains. If you can't keep her inside, don't get a chin. They're great animals but hard to properly care for.

Do NOT keep it outside. It will die within a few hours (depending on where you live .. but unless it's the Andes mountains they won't live long).
They are extremely prone to heatstroke, and need temperatures below 75F at all times. Even temperatures about 80F can cause brain damage. They absolutely require air conditioning. They can't be too cold either. Generally above 50/55F but below 70F.
Start saving so you can afford to buy at least some of what you'll need for the chinchilla ... especially the cage, parents tend to get annoyed at the price of that.
