First off i need a true answer not a biast one PLEASE. Ok so if someone has 10 sugar gliders in there livingroom and it smells so bad that it burns you nostrils, is it safe for my one year old to be over there? Is there a saftey rule as to how many sugar gliders one person should have? Please any links or websites would be a big help too. I really feel like there is some kind of health violation going on but i cant find prove to try and convience " this person "
Eww, I am sure ammonia is a by-product of the waste, and it is not safe to breathe in a lot of ammonia. I would not let my child go over there.
Depending on if there's a law against it would likely depend on the location. There is no nation wide law on how many sugar gliders a person can have.
I know of people who have over 20 sugar gliders .. granted most of these are people who rescue them (so these sugar gliders aren't kept as pets).
If the room smells that bad, that it's burning your nostrils, then no, I would not allow a one year old to go over there. With a smell THAT strong though, I'm wondering if the sugar gliders are properly cared for. With proper cleaning protocols the smell should not be that bad - even for 10 sugar gliders.
Why the heck would someone want 10 sugar gliders? My friend has 2 males and it stinks! I really wouldn't bring her there. There might be sickness. If it stinks, that means her males are spraying, and there's pee on the ground or walls (they spray to the side). Just thinking about it makes me gag ... ewww.
