http://exoticpets.about.com/cs/primates/... As the other guy said .. they fling poo. And they do ... they are gross creatures. Intelligence is one thing, however they are a huge challenge and they are disgusting.
1. The licensing is hard to get
2. The creatures fling poo
3. They're VERY prone to upper respiratory diseases that can kill them (colds, flu, etc.)
4. Most are endangered, not able to be part of the pet trade
5. Most cities have ordinances now against exotic pets, making them illegal.
