I had 4 little ducklings 3 about 9 weeks old and 1 about 6 weeks old. Last night, a raccoon snuck into their cage, stole 2, and broke at least 1 of the remain 2's leg. I'm not sure how much more he did because I wasn't there. I'm grieving over them for 1 was my baby. Please help me!
Put a trap up, catch it and feed it the most disgusting cat food you can find in your general store. Or cut it's claws.
Whats the point is "showing" the raccoon anything! He doesn't realise he's done anything wrong, he's just a raccoon! You're an idiot! Committing more animal cruelty doesn't make it better!

I called people who are being mean and telling my the I'm and idiot and that I shouldn't be asking stupid stuff like this jerks. Yes I was mad. I WAS also hurt. Imagine your child or parent being attacked by a bear. you'd be mad and felt pain because they were close to you.

Here is some advice, If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything. Most people who I knew I was getting ducks (I know none of you knew that), were happy for me and everything . When my baby was attacked, they knew because I wasn't myself. Baby was my whole world. I miss her so much.

I am so sorry to hear about your ducklings. That's horrible what happened, but the raccoon is not going to learn a lesson or anything. It isn't a human with the capacity for remorse and such. I think the best thing to do now is take care of your ducklings that are still alive and make sure you are well protected. I'd also suggest getting a pest control person to seal off the raccoon from your premise and have it released into a wild space far away from your residence. Good luck!
Racoons were ther before you were. They are continually having their habitat taken away from them by people. Maybe he was getting his revenge on YOU.
Seriously, he is just trying to survive, although it was probably NOT a racoon but an oppossum, skunk, weasel, badger, or fox.
You need to be better about protecting the things that you have taken resposibility for. Wild animals are just trying to survive on the limited land let to them by man.

Um ... you do realise that the raccoon isn't going to understand why you're hurting him? Raccoons don't "get" revenge. Its your duty to make your duck's enclosure safe from animals like raccoons, they are only doing what comes naturally to them. How the hell are you going to identify the one raccoon that killed your ducks anyway? Or are you just gonna go around killing all of them.
A raccoon doesn't understand revenge. It was just trying to grab a meal. Honestly, you should have either had the ducks in a predator proof cage or had them inside.
