Yes, I have. In every case, the bats were completely illegal to own. The pet shops which sold them, and/or the people who owned them were found out because they became ill and caught diseases from the bats.
The bats were almost always the Flying Fox bats, illegally obtained from Australia.
Bats make very, very poor pets.
