I was watching n youtube a rabbit eating popcorn and I was just wondering if its ok.
If it is can I feed my rabbit popcorn ...? And what type?
Pop corn if fine to give your rabbit. Just make sure that there are no kernels or your rabbit could chock on them, you shouldn't use butter, oil, salt ect.
No I would not give popcorn to a rabbit. It's not necessarily bad for him but it's not good either. There's too much fat in it and it could be bad for your rabbit's health. My rabbits for some reason used to love popcorn to the point where they would try to steal it from me when I was on the couch with it. I really wanted to give it to them sometimes because a rabbit begging is just too cute to ignore, but it's just not very good for them. Instead give him fruit like bananas or strawberries as a special snack.
The only real way to feed a rabbit popcorn is to feed it the raw kernels, pretty much as many as the little thing can eat . Then, put the bunny in the microwave and heat it on high for about 3 minutes. Take it out when you only hear popping every 2 or 3 seconds, and you should be good.
You can give a small amount (a few pieces) of plain popcorn, no butter, salt or other seasoning. If you pop your own popcorn but put other stuff on it, try putting some in a small bowl to share with your rabbit.
