Are turtles good pets?

I want to get a turtle but i want to know if they are good pets, nice, easy to take care of, and do they smell?
NONONONO.

I bought 5 turtles a year ago, thinking it would be so much fun.

After about 2 days, I got bored of them.

They stink.

They poo EVERYWHERE.

You cant touch them.

Their boring

They bite ALL THE TIME and it really hurts

You have to clean their tank all the time and its EXTREMELY HARD.

If you take them out to run around, they'll just run away.

ALSO, they carry salmonella which can be extremely poisonous.

I hate my turtles now, they are extremely boring and vicious.
Here are some reasons why turtle makes a good pet: Turtles are small, cute, cheap, harmless, easy to maintain, mobile and life lesson. Much more, according to feng shui the turtle is the guardian of the north, which governs career luck!
They are NOT small, and NOT low maintenance. They require heat, water, a basking area, a UVB bulb, and a specialized diet. A good filter and frequent water changes are also necessary. They need HUGE tanks. Red eared sliders, for example, are the most common pet turtle, and they need at least a 100 gallon tank, or a secure outdoor pond. Don't let anyone talk you into getting a turtle by telling you they're easy to take care of. They can make great pets, but that 1 inch baby is going to potentially grow to the size of a dinner plate. You have to know what you're getting into, and be prepared to handle the time and expense.
My cousin used to have two of them, she said they were extremely boring and you couldn't do much with them. Plus her tank smelled horrible and it was pretty hard to clean. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Not a pet I'd want to have.
