Which do you use for your dog or cat. I prefer to make it for my dog.
We make up a recipe suggested by our vet.Chicken mince, mixed vegetables & rice are the ingredients. The mince is very cheap at the pet food store.
I was feeding my dog a mix of tinned and dry dog food until I found a good quality pet mince I was happy with.
I now feed her a mix of mince and dry food.
The mince is much higher quality, no preservatives or additives, and she doesnt have to eat as much of it to keep in top condition.
Plus her poo is much more manageable! Because the mince has a high bone content, her stools are usually white and chalky-not really smelly and moist!
I feed my dog an all raw diet. I am going to switch one of my cats to all raw within the next few weeks because she will eat muscle meat, bone, heart, liver and everything she needs. Mt other cat is pickier and he gets half canned half raw. I also feed my ferrets an all raw diet. A balanced homemade diet is way better than commercial pet food.
I make my own homemade food, and my dogs are happy & healthy!
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com They still get kibble, but never get canned food in less I run out of Homemade!
Sometimes, when they have to take medication, I use canned food and hide the pill inside, and then tell the dogs it's a special Meatball.
I prefer to prepare the food for my animals. That way I know exactly what they are getting. Its fresh and does not have any preservatives. But I will settle for the canned stuff when it is convenient.
HOMEMADE PET FOOD !!!!!!!!! IITS SO MUCH HEALTHIER !!!!!!! !!!!!!! sides heaven knows whats in the other stuff !!!!!!!!!! f and when they euthanize cats and dogs and use them to make pet food, (the euthanization chemicals dont cook off and so your pet eats that ...) GROSS!!!
Homemade food is far better. I use petmix and it makes it real east to make the food.

Proper homemade food is superior than canned food. But I'd rather fed Ol 'Roy than give my pet a nutritional disaster. If you can't do your research, stick with high-quality natural pet food.
It's a bit of both fore me.
