In your Honest Opinion, How Many Pets Is Too Many? I think of Pets as Children. So when I'm out on my own, I don't plan to get any, until I am Financially Stable & have enough to Pay for all of the Expenses along with my Own with Extra leftover.

I love Animals, all of them. I want to live in the Country & own like a Ranch or something. I wanna have like a Pond full of Koi/Gold Fish & Turtles. I also want My House to Have a Basement w/a Section of it Dedicated to Reptiles & a Few Indoor Cages for a Few Parrots/Macaws & an Outdoor Aviary for them when the Weather Allows. I've also always wanted like 2 Horses for some reason, A Male & Female. That's about it, I don't really plan to have any Cats, Dogs or Rodents.

I might change my Mind later on, but I don't think I will. I've had some, in fact I do right now. I currently have 7 Dogs, 2 Cats & 3 Hamsters. It's just that losing a Pet Hurts, but for me losing a Mammalian Pet, mainly Dogs & Cats, it Hurts so much more. Anyway, back to the Question. How Many Pets Do You Think Is Too Many ???

well we have 47 but we live on 8 acres and i know it sounds like a lot but when u break it down it is not, we have: pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

4 dogs
30 chickens
5 cats (2 live in our barn because we couldnt train them to a litter box)
2 horses both geldings and i wouldnt get a stallion because they can be moody and mean
1 calf (i bottle raised her from day 1 she is three months old now and had her horns removed yesterday)
1 hamster
1 lizard
1 hermit crab
and that is it but we have a lot of space for our horses and a suitable fence for them and we ride 3-4 times a week and i would not sugest breeding horses because you probably wouldnt make a lot of money and the foal would probably end up some where bad

I think it all depends on how much space and time you have. If you and your pets can all live comfortably, then you are fine with the amount of pets you have, try not to get too overboard, because you should make sure you have enough time that you can care and treat for them all properly.

i think only as much as you can handle. Right now i only have 2 cats, but i think i could have more pets i just dont want anymore. hope this helps-KrispyKim:)

My thought is, if you can't give each and every pet the attention they deserve, then it's too many and you've become an animal hoarder.

i honestly dont think there is such thing as too many lol, i have a lot of pets too, and i think of them all as my children too, and i would do anything and everything for them, right now i actually have 6 dogs, 6 cats, a bird, and a rabbit, i just had to give away my 2 hamsters and my bearded dragon because im moving out of state though, and it was really hard for me, but as long as you can afford to take care of them, there will never be too many:]
