Weaver Leather VS Buffalo Leather? New headstall confusion..

Weaver Leather VS Buffalo Leather? New headstall confusion...?
OK, the company Weaver has had some great products that I love, but I have only owned their halters and lead ropes, never a headstall from them. Today I was looking at headstalls and found one that was nice looking but quite flimsy. It was thin dark leather, and a V shaped headband...

Like this, only in black and a bit thinner.

Then I looked at a Buffalo headstall, much thicker, and good looking.

Exactly like this one right here...(sorry for the smallness)

I ended up with the Buffalo Leather headstall because it looked reliable. The leather was thick, the buckles are nice, overall, better looking quality. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Did I make the right choice? I love Weaver products, but have never owned a leather one... It did not look reliable and it looked really thin...
Have you owned any Weaver Leather products, and can give me a feed back on them?
Is a Buffalo Leather product the better choice?
I have a couple of weaver headstalls and they are the best ones I have. But I know what you mean about some being thin. I just passed up the thin ones and bought the ones I have now. They did cost a little more but the are worth it. I think you made a good choice, if one was better quality then the other it does not matter what name is on it. And sorry I don't own any Buffalo products so I am no help an that part of the question.
