My horse is a cob, but she's not a heavy weight, i might do some in hand showing as that's what she did with her previous owner, but i'll also be doing some ridden cob classes and jumping and maybe some dressage in the end of the season.
feathers -
http://www.flickr.com/photos/51935683 @ N0 ... old photo but the feathers are the same -
http://www.flickr .com/photos/51935683 @ N0 ... Her mane was hogged in the summer but im growing it out, should i hog it again or plait it up, i don't think it would be long enough to leave natural.
also should i cut her whiskers): my friend was doing her horses the other day, and said they had to be done for shows. i've never been in a show so i have no clue .. do horses need their whiskers ..
also if you have any tips on making a horse really clean and shiny, and making their feathers white or just making them look super pretty .. it would be great if you'd share them with me:)

and one last thing my horse has some odd markings on her belly she has oval shaped black spots, and on her shoulder a white patch, should i try and cover them up or enphasize them she also has some roan on her hip should i just leave it ..:)
heres some pictures of the markings
http://www.flickr.com/photos/51935683 @ N0 ... - black spots are alot more noticable in reality.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/51935683 @ N0 ... - can sort of see the white patch on her shoulder with the little white dots around it:)
if theres anything else you need to know about my horse or if you need more pictures then just ask. i have plenty:)
Clipping her feathers is completely up to you. My horses really don't have feathers so I clip them but when there is allot like what I see on your cob and what I had on a Clydesdale cross I used to show, I kept them on but they were tidy looking. Depends on what level of showing your doing:/

I would plait her mane because I always thought that it looked dashing when horses have their manes plaited and it would make her appear stoic ^ _ ^
If you're going to show her, you'll have to get rid of her whiskers. I really hate doing it because horses have a blind spot directly under their muzzle and that is what helps them feel around for grass and stuff while they are eating.
Just groom her tons and use either show sheen or satin sheen. To clean off the outside of her hooves take a water brush and a pale and get the brush wet and wipe her hooves gently with the brush to get rid of all the dirt and stuff . Then let it dry and put on a conditioner or oil.
To make her markings whiter, you can use baby powder. You simply clip the hair very short using a 40 blade and rub the powder in like you own stock in it. A nice handful and a good rubbing can make all the difference in the world . You just lightly blow off the excess and the face is like snow. For the legs I go through almost half a bottle for each show. You rub it on everything white below the knees and hocks. Then you back 3 steps and walk forward 3 steps to get the extra off. I re-apply whenever they start to look a little brown. The thing with this is that your horse's hair has to be clipped short. So you could use spray on white and that works really well. Spray paint for horses can make a horse look like a whole other horse and the results are amazing! Here is an example someone used before. These are not my pictures or my horse

http ://s629.photobucket.com/albums/uu17/... I would leave her natural markings because that brings a uniqueness to her you can buy a horse hair paint that would go with her color to cover it.
She is a cutie ^ _ ^ Good luck in the show ring!
~ Plait her mane, I think it would be super cute.
~ Whiskers are used for sensory purposes but are generally clipped for shows and/or cosmetics.
~ I've heard coloring white spots in lightly with chalk keeps them very white for shows. Just don't color too much or the horse will sweat white!
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com ~ Just leave it, it'll probably look silly if you try to cover it.
~ Leave her feathers. Could just be me though since I'm a serious sucker for feathers ..
