Am deciding if it is time to move on?

I am 14 and have a 14 year old Arab/QH. I have had her for 6 years now and we have a close bond. I have don't most of the training with her and she has great ground manners, she is now becoming a great trail horse. I can swing the lasso around her hear, even bareback and bridless without a sign of fear. She also has a sweet personality. She isn't my type of horse for show though, and i am getting involved a lot with showing.

I now have a registered QH that i am training for show next year. And another trail horse that is my moms.

Next year before fair i am going to buy a weanling QH to train and show. I am also going to join the iowa high school rodeo and try to get ascholarshipp forbarrell racing. But the catch is, idon'tt have time to train a horse forbarrelss and need anexperienceddbarrell horse so i can becompetitivee, is it time to move on and sell my mare? please help! Thanks
Sorry but I have to agree with Henrietta .. if you ever had a "close bond" with this mare you wouldn't be selling her, unless you want money that bad.

Okay, I think you should keep the mare. And maybe lease a different horse for what you're wanting to do, if your horse is bonded to you too that would upset her if you were suddenly not around and she had someone else taking care of her (as stupid as that sounds). If you love your horse keep her, if you do not and have no desire or cannot take care of your mare no longer then sell her to a good owner who will love her.
First of all, you really need to learn to spell and type things in ways that actually make sense. And you don't need to sell her, if you can't handle it you can just free lease her to someone. They take care of her and use her for what they want, but she will still be your horse and you can take her back anytime.
Sorry to say that the new owner does not have to let you see the horse at all. Even if they agree to that arrangement they will eventually stop letting you see her and wean you off. Pesky old owners hanging around is not fun.
So she's given you her best for 6 years and now you are going to cast her off? Oh, great! The sign of a caring horsewoman.
