at ppony club my pony always gets spaz on the cross country but if we go there on a non pony club day he is fine, is it becuase hes dominent? please help i would like to impress the dc because she is used to us sitting it out and just riding around the cross country but not jumping

he might just be over excited about the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!!! if you tense up and become nervose the horse will to! have you tried letting your pony go forward a bit? this could help. when your doing the course when it's not pony club you haven't got a crow of people, you also have no pressure to do your best! just try letting your pony forward and see what happens!

try this have one of your friends in the group go cross country with you and only you if he acts fine ask 2 people to come if he spazes then bring it down to one then when hes good got to two i Guess you get the point

You can try lunging him before hand to get out a bit of energy, and then try to trot him calmly around the course so he relaxes.
If it's only on Pony Club days it could be that he's excited to be around all the other horses
