What does this horse term mean?
what does it mean when a horse has a "pocket pony" personality? I've heard it before but I'm not sure what it means.
I would assume that it means that it's the type of pony that likes people and is a little "nudgey" if that's a word. Likes to check every person out to see if they have anything for him that would be in his favor, like treats. Would be the type to follow you around and come to you if he got loose.
It means that they really like people. As in They would like to get in your pocket and live there.
it means that they're people ponies! they love people and would love to live in your pocket lol
It means that the horse in question is very friendly. They like to be around people, a little nudgy, and very much like a puppy dog. Many geldings are like this but I hardly find any mares that are real pocket ponies.

It just means they're very friendly and love attention. Sometimes they'll say "in your pocket" personality. Usually you see this on horse ads, and I'm sure it's sometimes an exaggeration.
Just like everyone else said, they love to follow around their human freinds and would love to just live in your pocket, puppy dog horse or acts like a puppy dog is the same thing.
I would assume it noses around peoples' pockets looking for treats. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
