You have no idea how much I want this! I'm crying right now thinking of why I’ll never get it and it doesn’t seem right to me! I can lease a horse but dad you may have not loved a animal breed this much so you don’t know how it feels! When ever I bring it up you just talk about the expenses and you yell at me and say you don’t want to talk about it now and when I ask later you do the same thing! This tears me up inside and you don’t even know it so I'm going to ask again can I have a horse? I love you daddy and this is something I truly want so please daddy please! last page anything i need to add?
answer: Yes it is! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I was in the same position as you a few years ago (desperately wanting a horse and working to be able to afford one myself) I never thought it would happen, but it did! I was able to get my horse!
Oh and I don't know where you live but in response to that person earlier saying the costs of horses, its not true. I only pay $20 a week, and farrier $50 every 6 weeks. Im in Australia.
It sounds like you deserve your horse, and I hope it all works out for you!
GOOD LUCK!
No, you seem way too desperate for a horse. Begging never got anyone anywhere.
What happens when the novelty wears off?
Do you want the truth? Honestly, you sound like a spoilt brat. What you need to do is prove you are RESPONSIBLE enough to own a horse. You need to prove you are capable enough to help pay for it, by getting a job and paying some of your house bills or something. This is how I proved to my Dad that I was responsible enough. Show them how much you know about horses, and how much time you have spent researching them and their needs. Get a job and save, save, save! This will show them how willing you are. A silly little powerpoint is NOT going to change their minds, especially with words like those. I know this seems really bitchy, but I'm speaking the truth. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I hope this helps.
horses are very expensive and unpredictable animals. I have 3 and its very very expensive. you seem young so just let me explain how much i really pay.
A cheap place to keep the horse would probably be like $400 a month
shoes on 2 feet is going to be around $150 a month. do all 4 shoes and double that
a saddle will cost anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars
a good pair of riding boots will cost around $100
all of your tack can add up to hundreds and hundreds of dollars.
Not to mention hundreds of dollars in vet bills ( even a healthy horse racks up vet bills sometimes)
Add to that how dangerous they can be....
im not trying to discourage you, just show you the reality of it. Unless your parents love horses as much as you do, chances are you wont be getting one anytime soon. I wish you luck though because they really are a joy to have and i wouldnt trade mine for all the riches in the world.
