Alright so here's my issue. I'm 15 I go to school. I do make some money becuase I teach riding lessons. (10h) but I'm TERRIBLE at saving it. also i only make 200 odd dollars a month ? (50-60-70) a week depending on the riders.
I need some fool proof ways to save money cause i dont have a bank account for some reason. and dont say fold it over and put it in your pocket -.-
reason is im trying to show my mom i can be responsible for my horse and his things and that i dont need her to buy everything for me.
also as for the making money- the process seems so slow and dragged on, how the hell do i
speed it up !!! cause i already teach quite a bit (4/7 days)
also i need to make around465 $ ? plus i need western boots that are 50 some dollars -.-
and i cant get a normal job !

what i do is tell my mom to find any money i have and keep it somewhere that i wont find it.. then at the end of the month my mom will tell me how much i have saved up.. as long as you dont know where the money is, your good to go

Why can't you?A lot of places hire at 14 if you know where to look. I'm 16 and have been working the past year.
If your mom can afford it there is nothing wrong for getting a bit if help with the horse at your age. I do. I have the experience to be an instructor, and I do training. Sad thing is I board at a farm with another trainer who is my friend. She is also the barn manager. I have chosen not to compete for her. Instead I help her train, and get nothing. I had to pick my great boarding place over making money at this point in time.

Really the only real help I can give you is ask your mom to help you set up a bank account and just DON'T spend it. Only spend what you need for the horse. I have literally thousands of saddles online I'm just dying to buy that are in my price range. But I've decided to wait and focus on tuning up my horse before I even consider show saddles. I'm very frugal with my money.

Horseloverz.com has some GREAT cheap stuff. Some great brands. But always be careful buying online. You are 15, get some priorities straight.

I've realized I might have only $500 in my bank account. The matching tack set I want cost $600. I can wait till my next paycheck and waste all my money, or I can buy those ugly protective boots that my horse NEEDS to keep sound,and not worry about matching. Sometimes I gotta throw the cheap tack together and buy what I can when I can.Sometimes its better to buy an old sturdy saddle with a few scuffs in it, than buy a brand new on that maybe a bit cheaper and look new, but it won't last as long. I have to give up on certain things. I have to buy those boots that will knock me down to about $400, but hey.... He needs them. I'll start saving for that saddle I wanted next week.

Add- Then stop teaching. I ride, I train, I have 2 part time jobs and still do good in school. It's possible. I still ask for help because I need it. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Don't ask your mom to pay for everything, ask her to help. You will make more on a real job then the $200 odd a month you are getting. I have a horrible home life (that i don't need to get into ) and a split family, I spend time with both sides and tend to take others shifts at work to help at home when I can. It's all about sacrifices. Exams are coming for me as well, which is why I'm online right now (mostly) studying. And amazingly I still have a social life.

Add- To you and TDers. I'm giving plenty of options, I've been in the situation and I'm giving you advice, take it or leave it. A bank account is obviously a good option. If you're mom can't drive you fine. Just don't know what you are asking me to tell you if that's all you can do.

Definitely set up a bank account. I have the same problem: If I know I have money, I want to spend it. Eventually you'll forget about the money in your account and you'll have a ton after awhile. Also, you should be able to get a job, even if it's only one day a week, and it should still bring in a considerable amount of money. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
ps; there's nothing wrong with getting a little help from your mom, as long as she's willing to give it :)

put it in a piggy bank that you have to break to get the money out if you cant get it out without breaking it you wont spend it.
& the best priced store i know is horse.com they are always having sales if you order a catalog & get on their emailing list they will send you emails when they are having sales which is all the time

Try keeping it in a place you might not notice everyday. Hope it helps...
