How many people here actually own horses?
Much like a mechanic doesn't need a car to be an expert mechanic, who here owns a horse?

I own 2. But people can be experienced horse people without owning them. :P
We own 2. Used to be 4, but when my sister moved, she took 2 of them with her.
i own 3 and ride everyone else.... most of us own or have owned them in the past
but of course you dont need to own a horse to know what your talking about we all have something interesting to put in,

All property of two senior citizens that spend our pension checks and retirement time taking care of them instead of vacationing.
i dont currently own a horse - just terminated a lease on a horse i've been riding for two years because of my busy work schedual... i miss him very much :(
I considered Shaye (an arabian) mine, even though technically my parents owned him. He was put to sleep in 2008. RIP.

i think horse racer,polo player,etc own horses..or those who are interested in horse or those who invest money in horse racing,they own horses..somebody own horses as a source of transportation also in himalayan regions..

I don't currently own one because I am in college, but I'm training two for jumpers and one for dressage, and I come from a family that's been in the horse industry for seven generations.

Mostly, though, I've just worked with a lot of horses since I started riding and eventually began to work for my trainer. You're right, though. You don't need to own a horse to be very informed about horses; heck, there are a TON of horse owners who don't know the first thing about horses.
I got 2, and ride several others for clients. I train for a living. fixing problems
it also goes the other way i own 5 horses and i know nothing about them :)
